Description
3DTomorrow Silk PLA Filament
Looking for a vibrant filament range to give your prints that extra pizzazz!? Our Silk range is a PLA based filament developed to exhibit a silky and smooth shine. It increases the perception of colour brilliance and disperses light when viewed from different angles giving a unique glossy effect. Slower printing and low temperatures improve the silky effect.
PLA (Polylactic Acid) is one of the most commonly used 3D Printing filaments, chosen for its good value, ease of printing and bio-based production. 3DTomorrow’s Silk PLA is supplied on a cardboard spool, which is 100% recyclable, so this product can help you reduce your carbon footprint vs buying plastic spooled alternatives.
What to expect from 3DTomorrow Silk PLA?
As a print service ourselves, we know that filament quality is of utmost importance and would never sell a product that we would not use. Our Silk PLA filament can be used to produce excellent quality prints, thanks to great interlayer adhesion, low warp and tangle-free spooling. Another great thing about our filament is the consistent strong colours, which ensure colour match even if you have to change spool midway through a batch.
3DTomorrow Silk PLA is vacuum sealed with a desiccant directly after manufacture, so you can rest easy knowing your filament will arrive in good form. We pride ourselves when it comes to environmental best practices and quality assurance, you can read more about this here.
