Description

3DTomorrow Silk PLA Filament

Looking for a vibrant filament range to give your prints that extra pizzazz!? Our Silk range is a PLA based filament developed to exhibit a silky and smooth shine. It increases the perception of colour brilliance and disperses light when viewed from different angles giving a unique glossy effect. Slower printing and low temperatures improve the silky effect.

PLA (Polylactic Acid) is one of the most commonly used 3D Printing filaments, chosen for its good value, ease of printing and bio-based production. 3DTomorrow’s Silk PLA is supplied on a cardboard spool, which is 100% recyclable, so this product can help you reduce your carbon footprint vs buying plastic spooled alternatives.

What to expect from 3DTomorrow Silk PLA?

As a print service ourselves, we know that filament quality is of utmost importance and would never sell a product that we would not use. Our Silk PLA filament can be used to produce excellent quality prints, thanks to great interlayer adhesion, low warp and tangle-free spooling. Another great thing about our filament is the consistent strong colours, which ensure colour match even if you have to change spool midway through a batch.

3DTomorrow Silk PLA is vacuum sealed with a desiccant directly after manufacture, so you can rest easy knowing your filament will arrive in good form. We pride ourselves when it comes to environmental best practices and quality assurance, you can read more about this here.

I absolutely love this filament! It catches the light like nothing I've ever printed before and I save it for when I really want to make things pop! I've had no issue printing it and overall just an excellent service too!

Absolutely amazing colour and quality. Purchased aged bronze, there's a beautiful shine to the prints and this mixed with the amazing deep bronze colouring really makes prints look like a metal object! Ive tried silk PLA from some of the biggest filament companies out there and this filament absolutely blows them out of the water! Incredibly easy to print and gain amazing results, will be buying again when I run out!

Beautiful colour and quality. This is now my second order and in total I have 3 rolls, no doubt I will be ordering more as it is without doubt the best filament I have come across. There was a small issue with delivery today but it was Unreliable Parcel Services (UPS) but this was not the fault of Callum. Am yet to print with the latest filaments however I have no reason to doubt the performance of the material. My first print using my first order actually exceeded all expectations.

Good things come in 3's! Sorry to hear UPS have given you the runaround, I understand couriers across the board are struggling at the moment, the high levels of required isolation are leaving them short-staffed. Appreciate your review and look forward to seeing the prints with the new materials you've received :)
