3DTomorrow Eco PLA Filament – Recycled Matte PLA
PLA (Polylactic Acid) is one of the most commonly used 3D Printing filaments, chosen for its good value, ease of printing and bio-based production. Since PLA is a renewable biomass it is considerably greener than oil based plastics, however the conversion of any raw material creates a considerable amount more pollution than the process to create a recycled product. Enter 3DTomorrow’s Eco PLA, a premium filament made from recycled PLA. Specifically, Eco PLA is made from the waste streams of the conventional filament extrusion process. Our Eco PLA also shares the benefits of all the 3DTomorrow filaments, in that it is supplied on a 100% recyclable cardboard spool, which has a lower carbon footprint than plastic spooled alternatives.
What to expect from 3DTomorrow Eco PLA?
Our Eco PLA range contains some of the most striking colours in the filament industry, best described by their dark pastel shades. On top of this, Eco PLA is a matte filament, which reduces the visibility of layer lines in your finished 3D prints. Due to matte properties of this filament, we do recommend printing with a 0.5mm Nozzle or larger.
As a print service ourselves, we know that filament quality is of upmost importance and would never sell a product that we would not use. Our Eco PLA filament can be used to produce fantastic prints, thanks to great interlayer adhesion, low warp and tangle free spooling. The strong colours in this range, enable you to create striking products that will stand out in any marketplace. We cannot wait to see what you create. If you do decide to share your creations, you can reach us on the @3DTomorrow handle on instagram!
3DTomorrow Eco PLA is vacuum sealed with a desiccant directly after manufacture, so you can rest easy knowing your filament will arrive in good form. We pride ourselves when it comes to environmental best practices and quality assurance, you can read more about this here.
